THE NEED

Judith, age 1 was born to a mother of four. Her mother contracted AIDS before she was born. As a result, Judith was born with AIDS. Because of poor nutrition and lack of proper medical care, she contracted cancer in her left eye and has had it removed. Her cancer has spread and is now affecting the other eye. Because of her mothers AIDS status, she is very ill and must rely on the goodness of others to assist her family with their most basic needs.

Fuzzell Maina , age 4 lives in a small home with a single mother. He is a bright and happy boy who loves to run and play with other kids his age. He enjoys learning his numbers and letters. Fuzzell was born with HIV. Because his mother too has HIV, she cannot get work. Although rent may be only $20, it is impossible to earn without someone willing to give her a chance. The ministry can give them shelter, clothing, shoes, education, food, and medicine, while Fuzzell learns and grows.
THE FOUNDERS

Dr. Gichane and his wife, Rosetta, founded Kenya Harvest International in 1995. The vision for this ministry includes sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the slums of Nairobi and feeding, clothing, educating and providing medication to children who are HIV/AIDS positive.
In February 2006 the Lord spoke these words to Dr. Stanley Gichane, “In America there are brethren who love me!” With those words from God, Dr. Stanley began his journey to America.
Knowing no one in America, in July of 2006 he arrived in Memphis, TN and through the benevolence of two U.S. pastors arrived in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
